day after thanksgiving…biggest shopping day of the year :) im going this year, but im taking it very easy as to not wear myself out! any other pregnant women going shopping on friday? if so, how far along are you?

This is actually the first black friday that I haven’t had to work. Yet, I’m still not going. People get crazy over that stuff and I don’t feel like getting pushed around or hit with a shopping cart (I’ve seen it every year I’ve worked). I’m due on Dec. 13th though. Good luck and be safe.

Yes, I am 32 weeks pregnant, my fiance and I are going! We go every year and usually find some great deals on christmas presents, last year we got more than half of our christmas shopping done after only spending $150!! This year we aren’t spending as much on others as we usually do as I will be going on maternity leave in 3-4 weeks. We are going out to see what kind of baby deals we can get, a lot of stores have those coupons on black friday example: Spend $20 get $10 off, so we will try to get some cute baby stuff for less. Plus, Old Navy will have $5 performance fleece for the whole family (which make great christmas presents!)…I just plan on taking it easy and we will have a game plan before we even go so we know exactly where we want to go beforehand. My fiance even offered to push me in a wheelchair so I don’t get too exhausted as I have been having real contractions for the past 5 days (was monitored in L&D twice) with no dilation.

I go black friday shopping every year, I have never seen anybody trampled over, what happens is people start forming lines outside a store with a fantastic sale the night before sometimes hours before the store is set to open, when they open the doors people start rushing in, but what pregnant woman in their right mind would be there for that kind of madness, I usually wait until after the craziness to go to a store. It’s sad but true, the elderly people are the most vicious on black friday, they constantly cut lines take things from your cart etc. they are the ones who ruin it for everyone yet are the first to complain if something goes wrong. Last year I had a women who was atleast 75 cut me in line, and I let it go, but after waiting in line for 45 minutes someone might not be so calm about that especially when she had a whole cart full!! The year before I was getting something off a shelf and when I went to put it in my cart I caught another elderly woman taking something out of my cart, she refused to giev it back, and there were no more so I told a store clerk and they didn’t believe me because she was elderly! How crazy…I try to avoid things like that now, it is in and out of the stores as it could get quite frustrating.
