Author: My husband’s new boss’s daughters (twins!) are turning 1 and we’re going to their birthday party. Needless to say, my husband wants to get them a great present and he has nominated me to do the gift shopping! Is it a given that if you get a gift for twins you have to get them the same thing?
Any suggestions for a really good gift for twin girls turning 1?

I wouldn’t buy them the same thing, especially being so young, they won’t know the difference anyway. (Like "i want what she got")
I know if I had twins, I would not want two of every toy. I have 2 boys and my husband & I have specified that we don’t want two of every toy at Christmas time–they need to learn to share. If its something they both need one of, then that’s different.
Every girl needs her own babydoll so maybe go that route. That would be the only thing I would buy the same.
Maybe go the educational route and buy them education toys. Maybe buy one the Leap Frog refrigerator magnets and buy the other one The ABC catapilliar.
